Rather Be On My Farm Than Emperor of The World

Happy Saturday Everyone!  Julie here, with another fun Mixed Media card using Harvest along with Seed Packets Background and Grunge Elements from the Artistic Outpost Spring Release.

To create the background for this card, I started with a piece of Kraft cardstock and stamped the Seed Packets Background with Stāz-On® Jet Black Ink.

I hand tore and distressed the edges, sponged Tim Holtz® (TH) Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the edges and image, mounted the panel onto a distressed piece of Black cardstock, then added TH Distress Crazing Medium over the background.

Once the crazing medium had dried, I used a honeycomb stencil with Crackle Texture  Paste, allowed the texture paste to dry and applied ModPodge® over all of the background surfaces.

I stamped the young man image from Harvest onto Kraft cardstock, add the white highlights with a Faber-Castell® White Pitt Pen Marker, trimmed the image, mounted onto Black cardstock and applied TH Distress Crazing Medium.

I heat embossed the sentiment from Harvest with Black Embossing Powder onto Kraft cardstock, trimmed the image and mounted onto Black cardstock, added the Grunge Elements splatters with TH Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I layered a 1 ½” Black Grosgrain strip of ribbon along with strands of Burlap Ribbon on a diagonal and mounted the focal image and sentiment using dimensional foam.

The entire card front was mounted onto the White card base and the edges were lightly sponged with TH Vintage Photo Distress Ink to finish off the card.

Thanks again for stopping by- I hope you have a wonderful week!!
